Natalia Matesanz Ventura holds a PhD in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSAM), and a degree in Architecture from the University of Alcalá de Henares (ETSAG UAH). She completed her postgraduate studies at ETSAM UPM, where she was awarded a scholarship to pursue theMaster’s in Advanced Architectural Design in 2013. She is a Professor of Architectural Design at the University of Alcalá and has also
taught at both national and international institutions, including the University of California Berkeley and New York University (NYU), ETSAM, and IE University in Segovia.
She has collaborated with various architectural firms, including Eli (Oficina de Arquitectura), Burgos & Garrido Arquitectos, EAS Estudio Álvarez-Sala, Carlos Arroyo Architects, Jaramillo & Kreisler, Bau Obras and Ángel Verdasco Arquitectos. Between 2010 and 2014, she worked with several Spanish collectives such as Basurama, Pez Estudio, Zuloark, and Paisaje Transversal on participatory urban projects. She is a co-founder of the urban project Campo de Cebada (2010) and the co-working space Espacio Ucrania (2013). Through cumuloLimbo studio, she researches and develops projects in collaboration with other professionals and organizations.
